Steve’s Pest Control is proud to offer the RX Heat treatment system for bed bug elimination. Rather than old-fashioned chemical treatment that must be repeated multiple times, the RX Heat system utilizes the power of heat to reach the entire invading population in one day of treatment.
Heat treatment is a newer technology that uses strategically placed heating elements to hold the temperature in an infected area to 120-140 degrees over a sustained two-to-four hour period. This remedy is increasingly in demand because it’s a one-shot, single-day treatment that does not involve chemicals. And because heat penetrates the treatment area, it’s less prep work and fuss for the homeowner or business before pest control professionals arrive.
Many of our technicians have completed specialized training on the RX Heat treatment system, and we’ve invested in four heat systems. We’re proud to offer this new technology to the mid-Missouri market. Our goal with the RX Heat program is total bed bug elimination. COMMERCIAL INSPECTION PLAN
For businesses such as hotels, motels, hospitals, apartments and dorms, we recommend adding a regular schedule of bed bug inspections throughout the year. These kinds of business are especially susceptible to bed bug invasion because the business hosts a relatively transient population – people come and go often.
Bed bugs find new locations to invade by “hitchhiking” from one location to another on luggage, clothing and people. It’s important for businesses with transient populations to keep a regular schedule of bed bug inspections because new people are coming in constantly. Every new visitor is a potential bed bug carrier, and new invasions are possible at any time.
